M. D. Shah Commerce and B. D. Patel Arts College – Mahudha, was established with the vision of promoting modern educational facilities in the surrounding rural areas. The College aims at the educational requirement of the students and creation of self confidence among the students through career guidance, consultancy services, and professional courses and enable the students to cope with new changes occurring in the competitive world.
Quality education being imparted here will enable students to be not only successful in individual life but also responsible and socially worthy citizens of the country. While doing this, emphasis is given on moral and spiritual uplift of the students and also on gender equity, with a view to creating a healthy environment in the society. Apart from these, the institution can create unity and harmony among people living in and around the area, belonging to different castes, community and religions.
The initial mission is to provide quality higher education to the students. To achieve this, apart from classroom interaction, seminars, group discussion and other extra- curricular activities are arranged frequently.
Efforts are being made to develop scientific temperament and instill humanitarian values in young minds. Importance is given on the all-round development of the students through various skill development programme and on creating awareness among them towards the problems of the society.
Mission of the college is to:
- To impart higher level quality education of graduation level in Arts and Commerce faculties to the students of Mahudha Town and surrounding villages.
- To impart value based education to the students, empowering them to fight against social and economic evils of the society.
- To create awareness among the students as well as citizens about the social environmental and health related problems by promoting various extension activities and involving the students and teachers in extension activities which can benefit to the society.

Education is said to be the transmission of knowledge, culture and civilization. Since more than seven decades of its establishment by visionaries of Mahudha Kelavani Mandal, the education campus of six education units (KG to UG) of today seems like fulfillment of the purpose, opportunity of basic and higher education for students of Mahudha and surrounding villages.
Till today, the management committees and learned leaders have tried their best to consider the education qualities with pace of change in this field.
It is a matter of great proud that students appear taking education from our institution have been settled all around the globe and doing their best. We are trying our level best to provide updated quality of education and attitudes to our students.
